fight was inspired by The Bourne Identity's style of frantic handheld camerawork and brutal fist fighting. Hunted II continues the (very basic!) story. A short, intense, and dramatic action movie we shot in Easter 2003. An informant with an incriminating tape is taking a shortcut through some local woods to a police station, where he is ambushed by a hitman out to stop the police from getting the evidence. A fight to the death ensues for the informant...
Still one of the best hand-to-hand fights we have done (considering we aren't martial artists), this fight was inspired by The Bourne Identity's style of frantic handheld camerawork and brutal fist fighting.

What is the SmokeNProfits short film series?
The SmokeNProfits short films are independent and underground films. They are low budget or better yet zero budget. We made these over the years and are producing more now than ever. The earliest ones go back to maybe 1994-1996. The include the genres horror and comedy and drama and experimental and obviosly documentry. The early ones will probably never make the Sundance fim festival let alone win an academy award. But being that nothing is impossible you may one day see us with an oscar trophy. Maybe playing the whole set for the French at Cannes. These films are hardcore in the sense of realism. They are also dreams and dream like in the German expressionist sense. Many scenes are straight from the French New Wave. Hand held camera and all. You'll see the influences of our favorite directors like Alfred Hitchcock and Orson Welles and Jean Renoir and Stanley Kubrik and Sam Peckinpah. Even Salvador Dali and Andre Bunel. Modern directors such as Martin Scoreses and Tarantino and Paul Thomas Anderson and even Steven Spielberg himself. We've watched and thought about urban directors like John Singleton and Spike Lee and even Mario Van Peebles (for New Jack City ). Comedy films also are a major inspiration from people Kevin Smith and Broken Lizard and CKY ( Camp Kill Yourself ) which is connected to Jackass and the Wild Boys. Really there is to many to name, but here is a few more greats Ingmar Bergman and the great Werner Herzog. These films will show improv or better yet improvisational acting and freestyle comedy at it's root. The films are rough and ready, take it or leave it, cowboy outlaw wild west stuff. Tune in, Turn on, or Drop out. Ken Kesey and the Merry Pranksters are a very strong in there influence also and so is Buster Keaton and Charlie Chaplin and Jackie Chan. So enjoy yourself or feel free to criticize and analyze. The truth only makes us better. Please comment and post responses because we want to be a part of indie film around the whole world. Go ahead and steal our ideas(though if we catch you infringing our copy rights our lawyers will sue your ass to the wall). I want to make the first modular laptop. That in technicality wouldn't be a laptop at all.
I want to separate the computing portions of a motherboard and separate it from all I/O. So if you wanted you could eject you pc from your laptop, like you would a cd-rom or battery. By doing such everytime you upgrade your laptop you wouldn't have to throw out any of the peripherals. You could just upgrade the computing components and keep the same battery, screen, cdrom, etc.
This would have the biggest impact on the video/mp3 players out there. Meaning that a person would buy an "I" or the computing for the player. And then buy the "Pod" for the I/O or buttons, screen, extra battery, etc. So together you have the "I" and the "Pod". Now if your buttons stop working or if your screen brakes, just go out and buy a new I/O for it. Plus this would allow for people to have a small screen video player, and they can upgrade it later to a larger screen and still keep the small screen for travel viewing?

Until Morning - trailer
to "get back to basics" in filmmaking. Films must adhere to a strict set of guidelines, including the use of handheld cameras, no special lighting "Until Morning" is a dogme-style feature film starring Robert Picardo, Kate McNeil, and Adrian Zmed and directed by Roger Nehls.
The dogme movement was begun in 1995 by director Lars von Trier in an attempt to "get back to basics" in filmmaking. Films must adhere to a strict set of guidelines, including the use of handheld cameras, no special lighting, props found only on location, and sound not produced separately (check the Wikipedia article on Dogme 95 for more details). Thus Dogme films such as von Trier's "The Celebration" and Nehl's "Until Morning" have to be powerful on their own merits without the aid of special effects or even typical production values.
"Until Morning" is unique in that there was no formal script. Nehls gathered the actors on location and provided them with character sketches and direction scene-by-scene based on his script outline, and actors improvised in a true test of their professional abilities.
The result is a film unlike any other; raw in its production and yet powerful in its story.

1) Yes, that's in-engine (in-engine means it's done with game assets in our rendering engine, but isn't done real-time. If it was done in real-time, that'd be gameplay footage. This isn't something, for example, that was sent to some house [e.g. Blur Studios] so they could build assets and render it out, and create something for us to release [e.g. Dawn of War 40K intro cinematic]).
2) Yes, that's The Ink Spots singing "I Don't Want to Set the World On Fire"
3) Yes, that's Ron Perlman [voiceover man extraordinaire of Fallout 1 and 2; his lines were recently recorded for the trailer].

What is the SmokeNProfits short film series?
The SmokeNProfits short films are independent and underground films. They are low budget or better yet zero budget. We made these over the years and are producing more now than ever. The earliest ones go back to maybe 1994-1996. The include the genres horror and comedy and drama and experimental and obviosly documentry. The early ones will probably never make the Sundance fim festival let alone win an academy award. But being that nothing is impossible you may one day see us with an oscar trophy. Maybe playing the whole set for the French at Cannes. These films are hardcore in the sense of realism. They are also dreams and dream like in the German expressionist sense. Many scenes are straight from the French New Wave. Hand held camera and all. You'll see the influences of our favorite directors like Alfred Hitchcock and Orson Welles and Jean Renoir and Stanley Kubrik and Sam Peckinpah. Even Salvador Dali and Andre Bunel. Modern directors such as Martin Scoreses and Tarantino and Paul Thomas Anderson and even Steven Spielberg himself. We've watched and thought about urban directors like John Singleton and Spike Lee and even Mario Van Peebles (for New Jack City ). Comedy films also are a major inspiration from people Kevin Smith and Broken Lizard and CKY ( Camp Kill Yourself ) which is connected to Jackass and the Wild Boys. Really there is to many to name, but here is a few more greats Ingmar Bergman and the great Werner Herzog. These films will show improv or better yet improvisational acting and freestyle comedy at it's root. The films are rough and ready, take it or leave it, cowboy outlaw wild west stuff. Tune in, Turn on, or Drop out. Ken Kesey and the Merry Pranksters are a very strong in there influence also and so is Buster Keaton and Charlie Chaplin and Jackie Chan. So enjoy yourself or feel free to criticize and analyze. The truth only makes us better. Please comment and post responses because we want to be a part of indie film around the whole world. Go ahead and steal our ideas(though if we catch you infringing our copy rights our lawyers will sue your ass to the wall). We take from all film and movie and video and animation and whatever sources we run across(although we always put our original spin on it). We are always a film student. (more) (less)

I want to make the first modular laptop. That in technicality wouldn't be a laptop at all.
I want to separate the computing portions of a motherboard and separate it from all I/O. So if you wanted you could eject you pc from your laptop, like you would a cd-rom or battery. By doing such everytime you upgrade your laptop you wouldn't have to throw out any of the peripherals. You could just upgrade the computing components and keep the same battery, screen, cdrom, etc.
This would have the biggest impact on the video/mp3 players out there. Meaning that a person would buy an "I" or the computing for the player. And then buy the "Pod" for the I/O or buttons, screen, extra battery, etc. So together you have the "I" and the "Pod". Now if your buttons stop working or if your screen brakes, just go out and buy a new I/O for it. Plus this would allow for people to have a small screen video player, and they can upgrade it later to a larger screen and still keep the small screen for travel viewing?

my thought on this run were i did terrible untill the black thunder started droping pawns out my memroy is poop i didn't remember it taking so long before the pawns came out but i thought the end was quite good could and have done soooooooooooo much better though
i do plan uploading more videos including VJ2,VJ:RHR ( i have the GCN and PSP version so i'll make a comparasion video at some point) and YJ:DT if i can find a sutible way for recoding of a handheld (more) (less)

Until Morning - trailer
to "get back to basics" in filmmaking. Films must adhere to a strict set of guidelines, including the use of handheld cameras, no special lighting "Until Morning" is a dogme-style feature film starring Robert Picardo, Kate McNeil, and Adrian Zmed and directed by Roger Nehls.
The dogme movement was begun in 1995 by director Lars von Trier in an attempt to "get back to basics" in filmmaking. Films must adhere to a strict set of guidelines, including the use of handheld cameras, no special lighting, props found only on location, and sound not produced separately (check the Wikipedia article on Dogme 95 for more details). Thus Dogme films such as von Trier's "The Celebration" and Nehl's "Until Morning" have to be powerful on their own merits without the aid of special effects or even typical production values.
"Until Morning" is unique in that there was no formal script. Nehls gathered the actors on location and provided them with character sketches and direction scene-by-scene based on his script outline, and actors improvised in a true test of their professional abilities.
The result is a film unlike any other; raw in its production and yet powerful in its story.
